Job Title: SAP CM (Commodity Management) Functional Consultant

Location: Houston, TX

Contract Duration: 12 to 15 Months

Work Schedule: 4 days a week at customer location (Monday to Thursday) and remote on Fridays

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Commodity Management (CM) Functional Consultant with over 10 years of expertise in SAP CM and IS-Oil projects. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end implementation experience in SAP CM-Deal Capture and SAP SDM (Secondary Distribution Management). The role will involve working closely with business stakeholders to implement and optimize SAP CM solutions tailored to the needs of the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation & Configuration: Lead the implementation of SAP CM-Deal Capture and SAP SDM, from requirement gathering through to go-live and post-production support.
  • Consulting & Support: Provide functional expertise in SAP CM and SDM modules, advising on best practices, process design, and system configuration.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements, translate them into system specifications, and deliver effective solutions.
  • End-to-End Project Lifecycle: Manage and support full project cycles including blueprinting, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP CM and IS-Oil solutions.
  • Business Process Mapping: Analyze current business processes, identify gaps, and define streamlined solutions using SAP CM and IS-Oil best practices.
  • Training & Documentation: Provide user training and documentation to ensure smooth adoption of the system and resolve functional issues during the implementation phase.
  • Testing & Go-Live Support: Oversee and support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure a seamless go-live process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Offer post-implementation support and drive continuous improvements based on user feedback and evolving business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP CM (Commodity Management) with a focus on IS-Oil industry.
  • Implementation Expertise: Proven experience in full-cycle implementation of SAP CM-Deal Capture and SAP SDM (Secondary Distribution Management).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Oil & Gas industry and its specific commodity management processes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in SAP CM module, SAP SDM, and integration with other SAP modules like SD, MM, and FI.
  • Project Delivery: Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale SAP projects with clear deliverables and timelines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with both business and technical teams.
  • Remote & On-Site Work: Must be willing and able to work 4 days a week on-site in Houston, TX, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

Desired Skills:

  • Certifications: SAP certification in CM or related modules is a plus.
  • Tools & Techniques: Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, SAP Fiori, and other project management tools.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex issues and deliver practical solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a global, cross-functional team.
