HRIS & Payroll Leader
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HRIS and Payroll Leader to oversee HRIS operations, payroll management, and human capital analytics. As our organization expands, this critical role will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the Paycor HRIS platform, optimize payroll processes, and provide strategic insights to enhance efficiency, compliance, and workforce analytics. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in both payroll management and HRIS administration, with a proven track record of optimizing systems and processes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS (Paycor Platform) Management:
- Serve as the SME for Paycor HRIS, overseeing system configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Lead HRIS enhancements and upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with other systems (e.g., finance, benefits).
- Train HRIS users and drive system adoption across the organization.
- Support the ongoing HRIS implementation process, with go-live planned for 2025.
Payroll Operations & Compliance:
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state tax laws, wage garnishments, and reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement payroll procedures, controls, and audits to enhance security and accuracy.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Identify and track key workforce metrics, providing strategic insights on employee engagement and retention.
- Partner with HR and finance teams to analyze payroll data and optimize compensation strategies.
- Develop dashboards and automate data collection for real-time insights.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead the HRIS & payroll team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying areas for process optimization and automation.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of payroll management experience, including executive payroll.
- 5+ years of HRIS administration experience, with expertise in the Paycor HRIS platform preferred.
- Strong understanding of federal and state payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing complex payroll processes, including executive compensation and stock options.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar payroll certification is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
