Job Description: SAP IS-OIL Functional Consultant

Position Title: SAP IS-OIL Functional Consultant

Experience: 10+ years in SAP and IS-OIL Domain

Location: Houston, Texas

Contract Duration: 12 to 15 Months

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday (On-site), Friday (Remote)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-OIL Functional Consultant with a deep understanding of SAP IS-OIL solutions, specifically in Exchanges and Inventory Management. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of expertise in SAP, with a focus on the Oil & Gas sector, and have demonstrated end-to-end implementation experience. This role will involve working closely with our client’s business teams to understand requirements, configure SAP solutions, and ensure the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP IS-OIL Implementation: Lead and manage the implementation of SAP IS-OIL modules, including but not limited to, Exchanges and Inventory Management (IM) in alignment with client requirements.
  • Functional Expertise: Provide deep functional knowledge in SAP IS-OIL, offering expert guidance on best practices and troubleshooting.
  • End-to-End Project Support: Oversee the full project lifecycle—from requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, training, go-live, and post-implementation support.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders to define, refine, and implement functional requirements, ensuring SAP solutions meet business needs.
  • Configuration & Customization: Configure SAP IS-OIL solutions, particularly focusing on Exchange Management, Inventory Management, and other relevant modules.
  • Data Migration & Testing: Assist with data migration activities, develop test scripts, conduct unit and integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and training materials.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide ongoing support to resolve functional issues post-implementation, ensuring system stability and optimization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP IS-OIL with extensive knowledge in SAP Exchange Management and Inventory Management.
  • Implementation Experience: Proven track record of end-to-end SAP IS-OIL implementation (planning, blueprinting, configuration, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Oil & Gas industry and specific challenges related to SAP IS-OIL functionality.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of SAP IS-OIL modules and a solid understanding of integration points between SAP and other enterprise systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Project Management: Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
